The market development program, jointly organized by the Yongin Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Hwaseong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, successfully concluded in Ho Chi Minh City. This marked the first time the two organizations had jointly implemented such a program in Vietnam, with the aim of helping local Korean companies identify potential partners and expand business opportunities.
With the participation of 10 Korean small and medium-sized enterprises, the program provided opportunities for direct meetings with Vietnamese partners to discuss cooperation needs and market development potential.
In their first joint initiative, the two organizers recorded 55 business consultations and matching meetings, with a total consultation value of USD 19 million. Notably, 15 Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and 4 sample contracts were established, demonstrating that many meetings led to concrete opportunities for further cooperation between companies from both countries.
In addition to the B2B meetings, the program featured a session on approaches to entering the Vietnamese market and a visit to KOTRA Ho Chi Minh City, helping Korean companies gain a better understanding of Vietnam’s business environment and available trade support channels.
In Vietnam, 42 International accompanied the program from preparation through on-site implementation, supporting Korean companies in exploring the market, connecting with the local business community, and participating in business networking activities in Ho Chi Minh City.
Beyond arranging business meetings, 42 International also coordinated information, facilitated communication between the parties, and supported local program operations, contributing to a more practical and effective market-entry experience for Korean companies in Vietnam.
